Friday Questions Assignment.

1.The "Letters of your name" assignment was an easier project on Photoshop for me. Firstly you would want to get images for each letter of your first and last name. Ideally the bigger the pictures are, the better. Then open Photoshop, the edition we used is CS 6. What i did was i found pictures and copied them. You could save the pictures to your computer as well. If you are coping the pictures, go to the file menu on the top left-hand side and click on new, or the key shortcut is Ctrl-n. make the background transparent. This is the menu that will pop up and how it should be set up.
Click on the arrow in background contents and select transparent and click OK.  then paste your picture  by using the key shortcut Ctrl-V. If you saved the picture to your computer, go to the file menu and click on open or Ctrl-O. Then select the picture. After you have gotten your picture, click on the eraser tool. Which looks like an eraser or use the key shortcut E. With the eraser draw out the letter with the background being the letter. After you are finished, click on the crop tool or use the key shortcut C. Then crop the image to only show the letter you cut out using the eraser tool. By holding left-click till the full letter is highlighted. when the letter is fully highlighted release the left click and then right click on the highlighted image and select crop on the bottom of the small menu. After the image has been cropped, then go to the file menu and select save for web and save as a png file. Then repeat this process till all letters of your first and last name are done.

2. A. Photoshop is a program by Adobe, that allows the user to edit png or jpeg files and make animated gifs, or even short video clips that are often used as intros for YouTube videos. Tools that I've used in Photoshop are almost every tool on the left-hand side in the CS 6 version.  5 key shortcuts that can be useful are Ctrl-n: New file, Ctrl-z: Undo, Alt-Shift-Ctrl-K: Keyboard shortcuts list, Shift-Ctrl-F: Fade, Ctrl-T: free transform.

B. A blog is a form of social networking similar to another social network called Instagram. Like with Instagram, You can post videos and pictures. Posting pictures and videos on blogs are quite similar to posting on Instagram. In the layout section i have changed the width of the main area of the blog for the posts. I have also added links to other blogs. I have also added avatars on my blogs as well. I haven't done much in the HTML section. All I've used it for is for adding a table for a post.
